Another Words on Wednesday event with a difference.
We’re delighted to welcome back Kenneth Wilson, ex-vicar, failed property developer, and reformed vegetarian, who once ran an India travel company. In this event, Kenneth tells the story of a unique journey – a 1,900 mile bicycle pilgrimage around England’s 42 cathedrals, with his cello, performing a Meditation on the Seven Last Words of Jesus in 41 of them.
Kenneth Wilson plays the cello with a moving and sonorous passion. He is the author of The Definitions of Kitchen Verbs, and Orange Dust: Journeys After the Buddha, which His Holiness the Dalai Lama described as “inspirational”.
‘Left us spiritually transformed,’ (The Very Revd Dr Simon Jones, Dean of Lincoln).”
You can read more about that, and some of Kenneth’s other projects, as well as listen to some of his performance on the website.
“A wry perspective, an edge to his bow. Arresting.” – The Cumberland and Westmorland Herald
