Penrith Writers Open Mic Night

Penrith Writers are going from strength to strength with regular meetings, workshops, performances and bespoke projects, working with both adult and school groups.

Their latest project, My Name Is Eden, funded by English Heritage Community Connections, gave rise to 10 workshops led by local writers, a celebratory evening of poetry and performance at Penrith Playhouse, followed by the book of the project, containing work by members of both Penrith Writers and BlueJam Arts.

Part One
Members of Penrith Writers Club will read from ‘My Name Is Eden’ and other books published within the group.

Part Two
Host Dave Cryer will invite willing audience members to read their own work – please bring along a short piece (1-2 min) for this part of the evening. Sign up with Dave on arrival if you’d like to read.
