'Once Upon a Time' with The Clifford Movement

Sit down and enjoy a pre-Christmas night of music, laughter and the odd tear, mixed with a large dollop of witty tales fromThe Clifford Movement performing innovative tales of folk from the past who lived, loved, worked and played in Cumbria.

They’ll bring stories, songs, dialect prose and visual projections, celebrating the lives and landscape of the Eden Valley, with some interjections of more far-flung tales. Their music ranges from foot-tapping melodies to dark soulful ballads, nestling within eclectic flavours of Americana, Trad Jazz, Dark Cabaret and Balkan tunes, with their signature, beautiful harmonies of their own home-grown songs being central to their sound, be they haunting or perhaps more raucous.

Travel back in time with them as they unravel the mysteries of the forgotten heroes of our green and pleasant land.
