'Cumbria's Postal Paths' with Alan Cleaver

Author Alan Cleaver introduces his new book, The Postal Paths, which looks at the routes walked by rural postmen and women up until the 1970s. All rural deliveries are now made by van but postmen and women walked up to 20 miles each day, six days a week in all weathers to make sure people in the most remote homes and farms received their mail. These routes still exist and Alan will outline the Cumbrian ones including Glenridding, Shap and Ambleside.
