'A Lake District Christmas' with Alan Cleaver and Lesley Park

This December, to celebrate the publication of A Lake District Christmas, compiler Alan Cleaver will present a reading of some of the stories, poems and anecdotes from the book. He’ll be joined by his wife, Lesley Park, to share tales of Christmas of yesteryear: Cumbria’s merry nights, the visit by the mummers, that winter walk on the fells, letters from Cumbrian soldiers who took part in the 1914 Christmas truce on the Western Front – plus of course a festive ghost story.
