This November, we’re delighted to host the launch of Ullswater’s modern day monk, fell walker and artist, Colin Hindle’s ‘Book Two: The Best Lakeland Views’.
Over five thousand hours in the making, this second labour of love of illustrations, poems, essays and hand drawn maps to the best views of Windermere, Grasmere, the Langdales and Coniston will be released on November 15th this year and we’re flattered and honoured to be Colin’s venue of choice for his launch event.
Book Two (in the series of four), covering the whole of the Lake District takes you this time to the most beautiful views in the central and southern Lakes, with hand drawn maps on where to find them.
Whilst enjoying the breathtaking world class scenery the ugly underbelly of truth will be exposed too of the horrific pollution taking place every hour, every day in the rivers and Lakes, as well as exposing the unfair bias against cyclists and pedestrians endemic throughout our World Heritage Lake District site. The beauty and the beast sit side by side, hidden in plain sight. This most beautiful and brutal guide cherishes what we have, and challenges what we are doing so badly wrong.
